Vintage Zenith Cal. 106 Watch Movement with Dial, Hands & Inner Ring c.1955

A vintage Zenith calibre 106 gents watch movement manufactured circa 1955, offered together with its original dial, hands, and inner retaining ring.

This lot includes a 31mm inner ring, a 30.5mm dial featuring attractive gold-coloured applied indexes, and matching gold-coloured hands. The dial displays a pleasing yellow patina acquired through age, giving the set a distinctive vintage appearance.

The movement balance moves freely and appears responsive. The overall condition of the movement is visually good; however, due to its age, it is being sold as requiring a service and no guarantee is given regarding timekeeping performance. The stem is not included.

The Zenith calibre 106 was produced during the golden era of Swiss watchmaking and represents the quality mechanical movements for which Zenith became internationally respected. During the 1950s, Zenith was recognised for manufacturing reliable in-house calibres with excellent finishing and robust construction. Today, surviving examples are sought after by collectors and watchmakers for restoration projects and period-correct vintage watches.
