About this brand

Valjoux is one of the most important names in the history of Swiss chronograph watchmaking. Founded in 1901 in Les Bioux, Switzerland, the company specialised in the development and production of high-quality chronograph movements that would go on to power watches from many of the world’s leading brands.

The name Valjoux is derived from the French term “Vallée de Joux”, one of Switzerland’s most famous watchmaking regions. Throughout the twentieth century, Valjoux established a reputation for robust, reliable and highly respected chronograph calibres used by manufacturers including Rolex, Heuer, Breitling, Omega, Universal Genève, Longines and many others.

Collectors and watchmakers particularly value classic Valjoux movements such as the Valjoux 22, 23, 71, 72, 88, 92, 7730, 7733, 7734, 7750 and related variants. These calibres became some of the most influential chronograph movements ever produced and remain highly sought after for restoration projects, servicing and collecting.

Today, original Valjoux movements, spare parts, dials and chronograph components are increasingly difficult to source, making them especially desirable among collectors, watchmakers and vintage chronograph enthusiasts.

Our collection may include original Valjoux movements, chronograph parts, dials, cases and other vintage horological items associated with one of the most respected chronograph manufacturers in Swiss watchmaking history.
