About this brand
Landeron is one of the most important names in the history of Swiss chronograph watchmaking. Founded in Le Landeron, Switzerland, the company specialised in the production of chronograph movements and became one of the largest suppliers of chronograph calibres during the twentieth century.
Landeron movements were used by numerous Swiss watch manufacturers, ranging from well-known luxury brands to smaller specialist makers. The company’s chronograph calibres gained a reputation for reliability, practicality and ease of servicing, making them a popular choice for civilian, military and sporting chronographs.
Among the most collectible Landeron movements are the Calibre 47, 48, 51, 148, 154, 248 and related variants. These movements powered countless vintage chronographs and remain highly sought after by collectors, watchmakers and restorers today.
Vintage Landeron movements played an important role in making chronograph watches more widely available throughout the mid-twentieth century. Original movements, dials, hands and spare parts have become increasingly difficult to source, making authentic Landeron components especially valuable for restoration projects and historically correct repairs.
Our collection may include original Landeron chronograph movements, watch parts, dials, cases and other collectible horological items associated with one of Switzerland’s most influential chronograph movement manufacturers.
