About this tag

The term “Dirty Dozen” refers to twelve watch manufacturers commissioned by the British Ministry of Defence during World War II to produce military wristwatches according to a strict specification known as W.W.W. (Watch, Wrist, Waterproof). These watches were supplied to British Army personnel and became some of the most collectible military timepieces ever produced.

The twelve manufacturers were Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor and Vertex. Although the nickname “Dirty Dozen” was inspired by the famous war film, collectors use the term today to describe the complete set of these twelve military watches.

At UKCHRONO, we specialise in original Dirty Dozen watches, military-issued timepieces, vintage military chronographs, and genuine spare parts. Our inventory regularly includes rare examples from Lemania, Omega, Longines and other historic military watchmakers, as well as authentic components for restoration and collecting purposes.
