This watch is a **confirmed MoD surplus re-cased version**. Following the Second World War, surplus military components and movements were often re-cased into civilian-style cases, creating a distinctive category of collectible Omega watches. These watches represent an important part of post-war British military watch history.

The case shows very little evidence of previous military assembly. There are no noticeable marks or dents around the case screw positions that would normally indicate extensive prior use, supporting the theory that this was a surplus case used during the official re-casing process.
